Rachel Alexander, RYT, has been teaching Yoga for Beginners & Athletes at Cobra since Shelby first opened the studio. She studied Iyengar Yoga with two the North America’s most renown instructors Dean & Rebecca Lerner in State College, Pennsylvania. Dean is one of the very few American teachers to achieve the rank of Senior Iyengar Instructor. Rachel continues to study with highly experienced teachers in New Hampshire and elsewhere to keep learning as much as she can. She has been a passionate practitioner of this classic form of yoga since 1998. Iyengar yoga emphasizes alignment & the use of props to achieve proper form & optimal benefit. Iyengar yoga considers each pose as a discrete posture: practice “Discover[s] the intelligence of the body.” Rachel will help students to “make the mind feel the stretch” so that we can work to unite mind, body, and spirit within each pose.
