Hoop Dance Workshop
This beginner friendly workshop uses an adult sized hula hoop to teach the foundations of hoop dance. In the workshop you will learn and perfect hooping on your entire body. The class will focus on both on and off body hooping. For on body hooping we will cover waist, hip, and chest hooping. For off body hooping we will learn weaves, lifts, and other tricks. This workshop will surely build coordination and flow. You will have an opportunity to do both improve, and choreography. This is a low-impact cardiovascular class that burns anywhere from 400 to 600 calories while exercising the entire body.
Nicole is an experienced fitness and dance instructor with a variety of certifications in hula hoop and yoga. She loves healthy living and is passionate about the performing arts. Nicole has been hooping since 2011 and performing professionally since 2013. She joined forces with friend, Andie Asacker to start Dream City Dance, a Vermont based dance company. Nicole’s main hoop style is single hoop. She enjoys changing dance style to match the music mixing dance and tricks. Nicole enjoys spreading her love for hooping and hopes to see you in a hoop soon!
